About the DM: Lila has been playing, running, and teaching TTRPGs for 9 years, and especially loves exploring different fun game systems. They are a computer science major at the University of Rochester and have acted as vice president and RPG chair of the board game club at the university. They also like drawing, theatre, and cats!

About the One-Shot: “It’s Rough In The Rough” is a Mausritter adventure! Mausritter is a game about playing tiny mouse adventurers in a big world, searching for loot and dodging danger. It’s simple to learn and easy to play. “It’s Rough In The Rough” is about exploring an abandoned mini-golf course and uncovering the secrets of its inhabitants: the mice, gophers, and faeries.

About the DM: Hi, I’m Sam, an undergraduate at the University of Rochester, and I am currently the chair of the TTRPG club there. I’ve been running TTRPGs regularly for 5 years now and playing for much longer. I’m very familiar with the big names, such as D&D and Pathfinder, and I also enjoy games in the indie RPG sphere. I like games that give the players opportunities to add their own input and flair to the world around them, building a more communal story.

About the One-Shot: Today, I will be running The Great Cat Caper, a game using the Blades in the Dark system, set in the system’s home setting of Doskvol, a haunted Victorian city rife with crime both mundane and supernatural. In this one-shot, the players embody a group of uniquely skilled and enterprising scoundrels, hired to break into a palace and steal the world’s most important cat from a luxurious pet show hosted only once every 20 years. Blades in the Dark is a narrative-focused system about underdog criminals fighting against the powers that be, and sometimes their own inner demons, by using all of the tools at their disposal to come out the other side much richer, and hopefully also alive.

About the DM: Hallo, hallo! My name is Alexander Chatterjee, and I’m a senior at the University of Rochester. I have been a DM for the last 9 years, with my longest campaign lasting about 5 years. Currently, I’m employed by both the Robbins Library and the Pawsitive Cat Café to run D&D 5e one-shots. I use the 2014 rules and am very welcoming to veterans and new players alike.
